By way of introduction, I am Jaren Hinckley. I am a clarinetist and a composer. Aside from my family, music is the all-important element in my life! Your Website is incredible and amazing. You have done wonderfully well. It is educational, uplifting and right on!
If you check my website, sargentmusic.com, you’ll see that mine pales in comparison to yours. By the way, I whole heartedly agree with you concerning “Sweet is the Work” observation.
One thing I think about since my retirement in 2008 is that I was so wrapped up in all the hoo haw, miserable committee assignments, myself and worried if I was doing a good enough job at BYU, I didn’t spend any time with you and your program—other performance faculty as well. Thank goodness for your website. I’ll keep checking it out.
